I’m trying to keep on top of things reading articles and just thought I’d offer you guys with businesses a wake-up call for 2015 – Facebook has finally killed organic reach.

 

A recent Forrester survey shows that adults online who want to stay in touch with your brand are almost three times as likely to visit your site as to engage you on Facebook.

That same survey also shows that adults online who want to stay in touch with your brand are almost twice as likely to sign up for your emails as to interact with you on Facebook

Do You Need to Dump ALL Social Media?

Not at all.

The Forrester report points to networks with far better brand engagement, like Instagram and Pinterest.

Forrester data shows that top brands’ Instagram posts receive a per-follower engagement rate 58 times higher than Facebook and 120 times higher than Twitter.

Marketing Takeaway

Stop making Facebook the center of your relationship marketing efforts.

There are far more effective ways to build your brand awareness and engagement, including building your own branded communities, building an email list, or moving on to other social networks.
